Come celebrate World Fair Trade Day!
FTOÉ invites you to Take a Sip for Fair Trade!
When: Saturday, May 11th, 2013 – World Fair Trade Day from 7-11pm
Where: Cube Gallery, 1285 Wellington Street West
This will be the Fair Trade event of the season, bringing together the best of local and Fair Trade products Ottawa has to offer. We have delicious chocolate to sample courtesy of Green and Black’s chocolate, Olivia Chocolates, and Camino. We’ve got local, organic cheese from our friends at L’Ancêtre cheese. There will be amazing beer from Ottawa’s own Kichesippi Brewery. This wine and cheese is sure to showcase the best of Ottawa and beyond! The evening will include friends, special guests, city councillors and representatives from various organizations throughout Ottawa. There will also be fantastic musical entertainment, Fair Trade cocktails, a silent auction and more!We are also proud to have inspiring guest speakers, including Paul Dewar, MP for Ottawa Centre, and Jennifer Williams from Camino. This wine and cheese fundraiser supports Fair Trade Ottawa Équitable with various community outreach events and campaigns throughout the year and will go directly towards helping Ottawa become a Fair Trade city.
Tickets are $30, which includes a specialty Fair Trade cocktail, and can be purchased online or in person at any Ottawa Ten Thousand Villages location (371 Richmond road, or 1174 Bank street, in Old Ottawa South).
